The first generation S8 was awesome. Saw it in the movie "Ronin" driven by Skip Sudduth in the theater. It's put on some weight since. The vents closing when unused is probably so dust doesn't build up. The car is nice.

Whoever thought touchscreens in cars are a good idea very likely never drove or owned one. Turning a physical volume knob or pressing an AC button with your finger is 100x easier, faster and more intuitive than trudging through any touchscreen menu, period.
