About the climate vents... If you had lived in SoCal your entire life I could excuse this but I know you used to live in Philly... Think about what you said there ... The top part of the vent (not adjustable) is for defogging the side window.... Why do you act like you're stupid sometimes?? 🤣😂🤣😂

the climate vent comment.....you live in Cali....nice weather year round. That additional small vent directs air to the side window....particularly to the area that clears the side window of frost to allow you to see the rear view mirror .....its important in TORONTO....EDMONTON....and any where in the US in a northern climate!!

About the 14:22 "upper vent" which is "actually part of the windshield defroster setting, & it's aiming for the section of your side windows that may get fogged up & obscure your view to the side mirrors"... I just had to say this... Doug is just not very smart. He tries... & that's why we laugh so hard when he makes such silly comments. He does it all the time. He has gathered quite a bit of information though, so wisdom is not lacking, but smarts, yes he is lacking.

Really Doug, you've never seen defroster vents before? All these cars you've been in, and THIS! ...is apparently the first time you've ever noticed a pair of small air vents on the dashboard aimed at the front side windows... come on now, you're better than that. Honestly though, this thing is sick(and ridiculous). Their whole lineup are undoubtedly some of the best looking cars being made right now.

I believe I have though up a solution to a troublesome quirk or feature. The rear hatch button/window switch placement issue has an easy fix. If you rotate the button 180 degrees it will be slightly more awkward to operate and therefore be a subtle reminder, as well as being a single button as opposed to 4 switches, that the button is for the rear hatch and not the driver's side front window. Easy fix as long as the cut out for the button is similar as it appears to be vertically symmetrical (along the x axis). If so, the already produced vehicles could recall that (although the image would be upside-down) and the new vehicles could be easy altered by just flipping the rear hatch display decal, making the rotation of the button self explanatory on the assembly line at the factory. I think I should write a letter to BMW/Doug Demuro. Maybe BMW or Doug would reward me with a letter or a T-shirt, a car would be fine too.

In modern BMWs if you open the door in drive it forces you into park so I'm sure the tailgate has a lockout. We had a 2017 X5M at the body shop i worked at front end collision and the headlight cost 3000 a piece lol looks like theres a small scuff on that headlight 😳 didnt even realize the car was any special lol i got to drive one not even knowing it was a super suv 😂 it was the plane black interior. The car was disgusting tho and had weird vents I hate bmw interiors but this is actually super nice. They just always have way too many buttons for my liking. Beautiful car tho.
