what bugs me is that these "soft close" doors was pouted as a opulent quirk, my 2000 Mercedes S430 had soft close doors. Almost lost my finger because a friend closed it on my hand when i wasnt looking. For 120 id probably go get a loaded S class.

Shame Ford is discontinuing making all their cars. Only car you can buy is a Mustang, But you can't put a family in a pony car. Actually, the original Continental Mark II (before the Continental brand absorbed into Lincoln/Ford Motor Co.) Popularized the coach door in a motor sedan many years before Rolls even thought about using it in their sedans.

Hey Doug, Your review of the Lincoln Coach Door was informative and well organized. BUT, did you look at yourself in the mirror before you walked out of your house to do this review? I was raised to do that to be sure that I was dressed appropriately for whatever the day ahead had in store. A baggy, ill-fitting college tee shirt? Rumpled shorts? Clunky sneakers with white ankle socks? Really? Reviewing a luxury sedan meant to be driven by a chauffeur? I know we've all gone casual, but your attire says you don't care,, and belies your observation that the car contributes to a sense of occasion. Try throwing on a blazer, a supremely practical piece of clothing (lots of pockets AND flattering to almost any body) to pull yourself together. Or at least wear a shirt with a collar! And try loafers if you own some. Or boat shoes! Absolutely no one interested in this car is going to appreciate someone dressed to knock back a few brewskis in the garage. Even in this day and age, people who spend $120K on a car want a little class. It doesn'thave to be a tux, but come on, man! You can do better than this! I don't mean to be snarky in this comment, but your clothing detracted from an otherwise well-done video. I hope you will consider what the author Mark Twain said, "Clothes make a man."
